Federal Autism Committee Highlights Vaccine Debate

During a recent federal autism advisory committee meeting, vaccines emerged as a controversial topic, with some members suggesting a potential link to autism despite extensive debunking of such claims.

Laura Cellini, CEO of Elucidate ASD, emphasized the need to explore all possible triggers, including vaccines. "We are quite open to investigating anything and everything. This plan closes no door," she stated.

Interestingly, the committee’s new strategic plan did not address vaccines, and participants shared personal experiences without challenge from committee members, indicating a shift in the committee's dynamics.
