David Morens, a former senior official with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, entered a guilty plea on Tuesday regarding charges of deliberately evading Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
Morens, who served as an adviser to Anthony Fauci, acknowledged that he conspired with at least one other person to bypass the public disclosure regulations and leverage his position to benefit a specific company.
