In a shocking case of deceit, Daejon Love and Taylor Jamie Chan have been charged with wire fraud in Portland, Oregon. Love, 35, allegedly posed as a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers to lure women into a fraudulent scheme.
Between 2022 and 2026, the duo reportedly swindled $1.3 million from multiple victims. Love would meet these women through dating apps, while Chan acted as his financial advisor, convincing them to invest.
The pair utilized fake investment communications and staged FaceTime calls to showcase fictitious gains, further manipulating victims into sending money, often instructing them to take out loans for investments.
