Geologist's Unique Album The Sirens Set for October Release

Animal Collective’s Geologist, known as Brian Weitz, is set to release a new album titled The Sirens on October 16 through Outside Time. This innovative project was recorded at Kyle Simon's Farrington Observatory in Joshua Tree, utilizing the moon's light.

Simon explains the recording technique in the album's liner notes, detailing how a telescope equipped with sensors transforms celestial light into electrical signals for Geologist's synthesizers.

The Sirens follows two earlier releases this year and will coincide with an upcoming tour featuring Geologist and Avey Tare, starting September 8 in Asheville, North Carolina.
