Jacob Chase Returns to Blumhouse with New Film 'Sleepover'

Filmmaker Jacob Chase is set to direct a new horror film titled Sleepover for Blumhouse Atomic Monster, following his recent success with Insidious: Out of the Further. Universal Pictures has scheduled the film for release on October 8, 2028.

The script, co-written by Chase and Bryce McGuire, is shrouded in secrecy but promises to deliver a classic sleepover horror experience, inspired by McGuire's original short story.

Chase, who previously directed Come Play, expressed a personal touch in his approach to Out of the Further, aiming to elevate it beyond typical franchise fare. The film is produced by Jason Blum, with executive producers including Chase, McGuire, and Bea Sequeira.
