Jorja Smith is back on the scene with her vibrant new album, What Are The Odds, a collection that promises to get listeners moving. The acclaimed artist, known for her powerful vocals, has teamed up with producer P2J and features collaborations with Afrobeat sensation Wizkid and grime legend Devlin. "This is music to make you move," Jorja enthuses, envisioning her tracks resonating on dance floors and during late-night bus rides.

Fresh off the album's release, Smith opened up about how she spends her downtime, revealing a recent trip to La Casa Azul in Mexico City where she was captivated by Frida Kahlo's art. "I was honestly so mesmerised; I didn’t know too much about her, but I was inspired by how different all of her work was," she shared, encouraging others to visit the iconic site.

When not exploring art, Jorja is indulging in literature and cooking, with Up the Youth Club: Illuminating a Hidden History by Emma Warren currently on her coffee table. She dreams of weekends free from distractions, curled up with a good book and her favorite coffee. She’s also eagerly anticipating Candice Carty-Williams’ Queenie Is Working on It.

In the kitchen, she’s been experimenting with vegan recipes from Rachel Ama’s One Pot: Three Ways, finding delight in dishes like her 'Cheez' Sauce for Mac and Cheese and crispy fried miso jerk aubergine. Jorja admits, “I’d make extra so I had leftovers all weekend!”

For her weekend soundtrack, Jorja is obsessed with Asake’s track ‘MCBH’ and Bricknasty’s ‘bobinov’. Her weekend vision also includes a new jerk barrel and a trip to Jamaica for pimento wood, blending creativity with culinary adventures.
