A stunning retreat designed by acclaimed architect Kengo Kuma is now available for purchase. The Wild Bird Forest Lodge, completed a decade ago, is listed through Sotheby’s International Realty Japan for approximately $10 million.

Spanning 240 square meters on a tranquil 0.6-acre plot near Karuizawa in Nagano Prefecture, the villa harmonizes minimalist aesthetics with rich materials. Its design draws inspiration from the flight patterns of wild birds, featuring striking galvanised steel roofs that extend dramatically over the living areas.
