Lambda, an AI cloud firm, has successfully raised $1 billion in short-term debt aimed at purchasing Nvidia AI chips for leasing to Microsoft, as reported by Bloomberg. The financing, facilitated by JP Morgan Chase, indicates Lambda's strategy to swiftly deploy these chips and generate revenue to facilitate rapid debt repayment.
This latest funding follows a trend for Lambda, which previously secured a $1 billion credit facility and a $926 million loan for Nvidia GB300 GPUs. Additionally, the company is rumored to be pursuing a $3 billion pre-IPO funding round, having raised $1.5 billion in venture capital last year.
