Massive Waste Fire Engulfs Southeast London, 100 Firefighters Respond

In a dramatic scene in southeast London, around 100 firefighters are currently battling a significant blaze at a recycling center on Landmann Way, Deptford. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) reported that the fire involves roughly 50 tonnes of household waste.
The emergency services were alerted shortly before 8 PM, deploying crews from multiple local fire stations. Station Commander Duncan Rees noted the challenging conditions faced by firefighters, who are utilizing two turntable ladders to combat the flames from above.
As the fire rages on, rail services to London Bridge have been disrupted, and residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to heavy smoke.
