Nike’s innovative approach to sneaker design continues with a stunning new iteration of the Air Flightposite 3, recently showcased by designer Frank Cooke on Instagram. This vibrant model features a stained glass graphic that incorporates bright primary colors of blue, red, and yellow, accented with white and gold.
Cooke's post humorously highlighted the sneaker's basketball heritage, stating, "Some take basketball as a religion," nodding to the connection between the sport and the artistic beauty of stained glass windows.
Originally launched in 2001 as part of Nike’s Alpha Project line, the Air Flightposite 3 was known for its futuristic design, including signature stability straps and distinctive “alien eye” pods. While a release date for the new colorway remains unconfirmed, the sneaker is set to be available next spring, priced from $240, alongside other new variants of the Foamposite line.
