In a recent revelation, Liz Meriwether, the creator of the beloved sitcom 'New Girl', dispelled rumors of a reunion, stating firmly, "There are no scripts." This comes after Max Greenfield, who portrayed Schmidt, claimed to have read some "amazing" scripts during an appearance on 'Today with Jenna & Sheinelle'.
Meriwether made these comments at the Season 1 finale screening of her new series 'Furious', emphasizing, "I don’t even have the scripts written for the things that I need to have scripts written for." She humorously responded to Greenfield's remarks via a video on Instagram, joking about the notes she received from the cast on initial drafts.
While fans might be disappointed, Meriwether hinted that the ongoing banter between her and the cast could be seen as a form of reunion in itself. Meanwhile, Greenfield later clarified that a different kind of reunion is on the horizon, as the original cast will gather for the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles on October 10, where they will receive the Rising Phoenix Award.
