RUF Launches EHRA: A Fusion of Performance and Everyday Comfort

At the prestigious Monterey Car Week 2026, RUF has introduced the EHRA, a striking widebody fastback designed for both extreme performance and everyday comfort. This marks a significant shift for the German manufacturer, as the EHRA is its first model engineered to excel in diverse driving conditions.

The car's name pays homage to racing legend Phil Hill, who set a top speed record at the Ehra-Lessien proving ground in the iconic CTR Yellowbird. The EHRA, however, is set to redefine long-distance driving with a unique silhouette that diverges from the CTR Anniversary, utilizing RUF’s lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque platform.

Under the hood, the EHRA boasts a robust 3.6-liter twin-turbo boxer six engine, delivering 650 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, coupled with a seven-speed manual transmission and a fully variable all-wheel-drive system. This configuration preserves a rear-driven feel, distinguishing it from many modern performance vehicles that favor automation.

The chassis is finely tuned for comfort and distance, featuring double wishbones and adaptive dampers. Inside, the car is adorned with luxurious brown leather and carbon trim, designed for longer journeys. The EHRA is currently displayed alongside RUF's other models at The Quail, all utilizing renewable e-Fuels.
