LONDON – In a significant move for the bespoke tailoring industry, Taj Phull, the managing director of Huntsman, has been appointed as the chair of the Savile Row Bespoke Association. At 41, Phull becomes the youngest individual to hold this prestigious position, succeeding former chairman Mark Henderson.
Phull expressed enthusiasm for his new role, which aims to safeguard the artistry of bespoke tailoring on Savile Row. He plans to enhance apprenticeship programs and expand the global influence of bespoke tailoring.
Since ascending to managing director in November 2020, Phull has propelled Huntsman into ready-to-wear markets while maintaining its bespoke heritage. Henderson praised Phull's vision and the collective commitment of the association's members to ensure bespoke tailoring flourishes on Savile Row.
Jenny Casebourne, property director at The Pollen Estate, commended Phull for his experience and respect for Savile Row's rich traditions.
