Tim Curry, Iconic Actor of 'Rocky Horror' Fame, Passes Away at 80

Tim Curry, the celebrated British actor famed for his role as Dr. Frank N. Furter in the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, has died at the age of 80. Known for his dynamic performances and distinctive voice, Curry's career spanned several decades, leaving an indelible mark on film and theater.

Curry's memorable portrayal of the flamboyant Frank N. Furter showcased his unique ability to blend humor with menace, a talent he honed throughout his career. Beyond Rocky Horror, Curry was also recognized for his chilling performance as Pennywise the Clown in Stephen King’s 1990 adaptation of It. His extensive filmography includes notable works like Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Muppet Treasure Island, and adaptations of Clue and The Three Musketeers.

His stage prowess earned him three Tony Award nominations, including one for his captivating performance as Mozart in Amadeus.
