Tod’s Introduces Digital Product Passports with Renoon Collaboration

By Editor • August 28, 2026 • 1 min read

In a groundbreaking move, Tod’s has unveiled its Digital Product Passports, beginning with its iconic Gommino loafers. This initiative, developed in partnership with Renoon, aims to provide transparency in sustainability as the European Union mandates stricter product information requirements starting next year.

Available on Tod’s website, these digital passports offer consumers insights into the materials, production processes, and certifications associated with their purchases. Renoon's expertise ensures that product and supply chain data is consistent and reliable.

Iris Skrami, CEO of Renoon, emphasized that many companies remain hesitant about implementing Digital Product Passports due to previous uncertainties in sustainability legislation. However, she highlighted the importance of establishing a solid data infrastructure, as many brands possess fragmented data but lack a cohesive system.

Skrami noted that QR codes linked to these passports not only fulfill regulatory obligations but also provide luxury brands with a unique platform to enhance customer engagement. Carlo Alberto Beretta, Tod’s general brand manager, stated that this initiative aligns with Tod’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship, enriching the customer experience with verified product narratives.
