Tornado Strikes Pomas, France: 41 Injured and Homes Devastated

A tornado wreaked havoc in the small village of Pomas, located in southwestern France, on Monday, injuring 41 individuals and damaging around 300 homes, officials reported.
The storm's ferocity led to roofs being torn off buildings, widespread power outages, and significant disruptions in transportation. In response to the severe weather, authorities canceled the third stage of the Vuelta a Espana cycling race.
Pomas, with a population of approximately 1,000, was the worst affected, including a pregnant woman injured when her house collapsed. Winds reached speeds of 117 kilometers per hour in nearby Arquettes-en-Val, as heavy storms continued to impact travel across multiple cities, including Bordeaux and Paris.
