The IRS has launched an investigation into UnitedHealth Group, suspecting the corporation underreported taxes from 2017 to 2020 by using a foreign subsidiary to shift funds.
In a recent filing, UnitedHealth disclosed that the IRS aims to raise taxable income significantly and could demand additional payments for years beyond 2020. The company first received these notifications in March.
