Wisconsin's appetite for privacy is causing a shakeup in Flock's automated license plate camera network. Recently, several towns have opted out of their contracts due to growing distrust.
Dane County, home to Madison, was a major user with 24 cameras. However, following public outcry, the county board unanimously voted on April 16 to eliminate $80,000 in funding for Flock, halting any further investment in the system.
