Youth Arrested in Kooyong Assault Incident

A 13-year-old boy has been taken into custody following an alleged attempted sexual assault in Kooyong last month. The incident, which occurred on July 14, involved two women being approached by the suspect while they were walking with their eight dogs.
According to police reports, the attacker jumped from a bush, attempting to grab one of the women before moving toward the other. However, the dogs intervened, chasing the assailant into a tunnel beneath the Monash Freeway.
Victoria Police thanked the community for their assistance, noting that tips received through Crime Stoppers were instrumental in the investigation's progress.
