Apple has rolled out new features for its HomeKit cameras, branded as Apple Intelligence, with the latest updates to iOS 27 and tvOS 27. These enhancements bring advanced AI capabilities to home security, but they come with a price tag.
The new functionalities include AI-generated video summaries, allowing users to receive concise text descriptions of events captured by their HomeKit Secure Video cameras. This feature enables homeowners to quickly review who or what was detected without needing to sift through hours of footage.
In addition to video summaries, Apple Home has introduced a video search capability and a feature that combines footage from multiple cameras into a single clip, streamlining the monitoring process. However, access to these new features requires a subscription, starting at $9.99 per month for the 2TB iCloud Plus plan, potentially increasing to $60 per month depending on the services chosen.
