The roofline of the Academy gracefully mimics traditional Chinese architecture, curving upward and dipping at its center, which creates a silhouette reminiscent of an open book from the riverbank. This elegant form allows the building to blend seamlessly into the landscape, appearing to float above the ground.

Founded by Zhiyong Fan and Ming Dang in 2002, HONG Designworks focuses on human-centered design, and this philosophy is evident throughout the Academy.
