In a sudden turn of events, Chief Keef's highly anticipated concert in Chicago has been postponed. Originally set for September 12, the show will now take place on September 23 at the Huntington Bank Pavilion, marking his first performance in the city in 14 years.
The postponement was announced via the venue's social media accounts just 30 minutes before Keef was scheduled to hit the stage. A statement from Live Nation cited travel delays as the reason for the change, which prevented the rapper from arriving on time to perform before the venue's curfew.
Expressing his disappointment, Chief Keef took to Instagram to share his frustration, attributing the travel issues to an incident involving a “pilot who got very racist,” which led to the cancellation of his flight. “No I ain’t happy, yes I am upset,” he wrote, acknowledging the anticipation surrounding the event. “I’m sincerely sorry that this happened trust me.” Keef's tour will resume in Minneapolis before heading to cities like Detroit, Austin, and New York in the coming months.
