Dr. Martens is making significant strides in its global product team by welcoming Isadora Versani from Marc Jacobs and Nadia Svensson from Adidas. Both will assume key roles in November, with Versani taking on the position of global product design director and Svensson stepping in as global merchandising and product director.
The brand views these appointments as a major investment in top-tier design and merchandising talent, essential for its growth trajectory. Reporting to chief brand officer Carla Murphy, the duo will be integral to linking consumer insights with product development.
Versani comes with over 17 years of experience in footwear design, having previously worked with high-profile brands such as Tory Burch, where she significantly grew the footwear segment. Svensson, on the other hand, brings her expertise from Adidas, where she drove growth in the outdoor and sportswear categories across Asia-Pacific.
Murphy expressed enthusiasm about the new hires, stating, “They bring together a rare combination of creative vision and product expertise.” Both appointments align with Dr. Martens’ shift towards a consumer-first approach, aiming to enhance its product offerings and relevance in the market.
