Ella Langley Makes History with 'Choosin’ Texas' Tying No. 1 Record

In an impressive feat, Ella Langley’s hit single “Choosin’ Texas” has now tied the all-time record for the longest consecutive run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking its 22nd week atop the charts. This achievement aligns Langley with the iconic Mariah Carey, who held the previous record with her classic holiday track “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

If Langley maintains her lead for just one more week, she will officially claim the title for the longest-running No. 1 single in U.S. chart history, a record previously held by Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” which dominated the charts for 19 weeks.

“Choosin’ Texas,” which debuted in October 2025 as the lead single from Langley’s upcoming album, Dandelion, first reached its peak position back in February. The album itself also enjoyed success, securing the No. 1 spot on the charts for two weeks in April, further adding to Langley’s impressive accolades.
