Escalation in Yemen: Houthis and Saudi Arabia Intensify Air Strikes

Yemen's conflict has escalated dramatically, as Houthi rebels report a surge in Saudi airstrikes across multiple regions of Yemen, following recent missile attacks that injured civilians in Saudi cities.
The Saudi-led coalition, which supports Yemen's internationally recognized government, confirmed that Houthi attacks on Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif resulted in injuries to 13 civilians and damage to homes and vehicles. The coalition's spokesperson, Major-General Turki al-Maliki, asserted their commitment to responding ‘firmly’ to protect the kingdom's sovereignty.
In retaliation, the Houthis claimed that Saudi Arabia launched 54 air raids in the past day, targeting areas such as Lahj, Taiz, al-Jawf, Marib, and Hajjah, which they say caused injuries and fatalities. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree warned of ongoing attacks against Saudi military positions until the coalition's aggression ceases.
