Hotel Danieli Unveils Stunning Revamp Ahead of Venice Film Festival

The Hotel Danieli, a stunning gothic structure overlooking the Venetian lagoon, has recently reopened its doors after an extensive renovation, just in time for the Venice Film Festival. This Four Seasons property, located along the scenic Riva degli Schiavoni and a short stroll from St. Mark’s Square, has been praised for its breathtaking views and luxurious accommodations.

French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon led the revitalization, emphasizing a harmonious blend of historical elements, light, and materials. The hotel's color scheme draws inspiration from the lagoon and Venice's iconic marble architecture, utilizing shades of celadon green, soft blue, terracotta, ochre, and powder pink. Inside the Palazzo Dandolo lobby, hand-restored gilding and natural light enhance the ambiance, while Murano glass and Rubelli fabrics pay homage to local traditions.

Now featuring 120 rooms and suites, the hotel will expand to 168 accommodations upon the completion of the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior restoration slated for 2027. Modern technology has been seamlessly integrated into the guest experience, including custom media walls and automated systems for lighting and climate control—essential during Europe’s rising summer temperatures.

The rooftop restaurant, Terrazza Danieli, has also been refreshed with pastel tones and blue accents, offering a contemporary Italian menu crafted by Executive Chef Adriano Rausa. The hotel's spa is set to open later this year, featuring treatment rooms and a sauna. Four Seasons President Rainer Stampfer expressed excitement about this new chapter, celebrating the hotel’s rich heritage and dedication to exceptional service.
