Jason Isbell, along with fellow musicians Guy Forsyth, Eduardo Calle, and David Lowery, has initiated a lawsuit against the AI platform Suno in Boston's U.S. District Court.
The artists claim Suno has created music using their names without authorization, arguing that Isbell's musical identity remains his intellectual property, regardless of technology.
While Suno asserts it restricts the use of artists' names, the lawsuit contends these protections are easily circumvented, allowing for unauthorized music generation.
