Jil Sander's Fall Campaign Takes Flight at Abandoned Airfield
By Editor • September 3, 2026 • 1 min read
Jil Sander’s creative director Simone Bellotti has unveiled a striking fall campaign, set against the backdrop of a secluded airfield near the Alps. The shoot, featuring model Edie Campbell, evokes a haunting, Hitchcock-like atmosphere with its unusual combination of fashion and dislocated furniture.
Bellotti described the airfield as a space that exists ‘in-between’ arrivals and departures, a notion mirrored in the campaign’s design. A sleek black desk, a bench, and a latex-draped armchair hint at domesticity yet feel out of place on the tarmac. Photographed by Moni Haworth, the images are captured on analog film, imbuing them with a sense of uncertainty that complements the campaign's abstract narrative.
The collection, described as a ‘homelier brand of minimalism,’ represents Bellotti’s second show for Jil Sander, showcasing a blend of selective imperfection and intriguing design.
