At the Venice Film Festival, acclaimed filmmaker Laura Poitras unveiled her latest documentary, They’re Here, a gripping 25-minute portrayal of the Minneapolis resistance against ICE's formidable presence. Poitras, known for her Oscar-winning work, expressed the urgency behind her film, stating, 'What we’re seeing in the United States is a nightmare.'

Co-directed with journalist Rachel Lauren Mueller, They’re Here employs a dystopian lens to showcase the chilling reality of life under ICE's reign. The film opens in a serene Midwestern landscape, soon disrupted by masked figures abducting children, while ordinary citizens navigate their daily lives amidst fear and surveillance.
