Meet CinderClock: The Alarm Clock That Turns Snoozing Into a Challenge

By Editor • September 7, 2026 • 1 min read

In a world where alarm clocks have become mere extensions of our smartphones, the CinderClock emerges as a refreshing alternative. This innovative device, crafted through 3D printing, features a striking arcade-style snooze button that invites you to engage with your morning routine in a playful yet purposeful way.

Design and Functionality

The CinderClock showcases a bold red 10-millimeter arcade button on top, designed for ease of use when you’re still half-awake. However, its snooze function presents a series of increasingly demanding challenges. Users must either press the button three times at intervals, replicate a joystick sequence, or even complete a mini-game displayed on the clock's screen to turn off the alarm.

A Disconnect from Distractions

Endothermal Systems, the hardware development studio behind this unique clock, has intentionally made the CinderClock a standalone product. Founder Aknazar Arysbek emphasizes the importance of unplugging from the digital world, stating that not having to look at a phone before bed or upon waking has significantly reduced distractions.

Future Aspirations

The CinderClock is the debut product from Endothermal Systems, designed with modularity and repairability at its core. Arysbek notes that the original vision was for it to be the size of two Coke cans, but it turned out to be more comparable to a toaster. The clock boasts customizable alarm settings and a playful screensaver mode with animations like “fire” and “rain,” along with eight built-in games that serve both entertainment and alarm deactivation purposes. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its product line to include items such as lamps and e-readers.
