Microsoft Deploys Urgent Windows 11 Update to Resolve September Patch Issues

In a swift response to complications arising from its extensive September Patch Tuesday update, Microsoft has initiated an emergency out-of-band update for Windows 11. This recent patch aims to rectify several issues that emerged after the company addressed nearly 1,000 vulnerabilities in what has been described as its largest update to date.
The September update, while significant, inadvertently led to problems that impacted various users including businesses, developers, and gamers. Notably, the issues affected folder shares on Hyper-V-based Linux virtual machines, disrupted Remote Desktop Services sessions, and caused malfunctions with some USB audio devices.
To mitigate these problems, the newly released update targets multiple versions of Windows 11, specifically versions 26h1, 25H2, and 24H2. Furthermore, Microsoft has also rolled out corresponding updates for Windows Server, ensuring a broader coverage of the fixes.
