Microsoft Sets New Streaming Limits for Game Pass Subscribers

In a significant shift for its Game Pass service, Microsoft has introduced strict streaming limits for subscribers of its Xbox Cloud Gaming platform, effective from November. This change marks a departure from the previously unlimited access that was a hallmark of the service.
New Monthly Streaming Caps
Under the new guidelines, gamers will face monthly streaming caps based on their subscription tier. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, who pay $23 per month, will be limited to 15 hours of streaming. Meanwhile, those with the Game Pass Premium plan at $15 per month will have a 10-hour limit, and Game Pass Essential subscribers at $10 will see their streaming time restricted to just 5 hours.
Options After Limits Are Reached
Once subscribers hit their streaming limit, Microsoft has indicated that they will have the option to purchase additional streaming time. However, the company has not disclosed details regarding pricing or the availability of this extra time, leaving subscribers uncertain about the costs they may incur.
Despite these new restrictions, access to downloadable games on the Game Pass will remain unchanged, allowing gamers to continue enjoying their library without interruption.
