Miley Cyrus Unveils New Single and Album with Daring Video

Miley Cyrus has officially kicked off the next chapter of her music career with the announcement of her new album, Bass Persuades. The pop sensation, now known simply as Miley, dropped the title track today, showcasing a vibrant blend of pop and post-punk sounds.

The accompanying music video, directed by Mert Alas, draws heavily from leather culture, delivering a visually striking experience that complements the track’s energetic vibe. In her Instagram statement, Miley expressed the profound impact of music, stating, "Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between."

Bass Persuades marks a follow-up to her 2025 album, Something Beautiful, and features collaborative work with the New York-based art punk group, Model/Actriz. To celebrate the album's launch on September 18, Miley will perform two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 17, promising fans an electrifying experience. Since her last release, Miley has kept her schedule packed, including the release of a deluxe edition of Something Beautiful and a memorable appearance in a 20th-anniversary special for Hannah Montana.
