Mistrial Declared in Lindsay Clancy Case After Jury Deadlock

A mistrial has been declared in the emotionally charged case of Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts mother accused of killing her three children. On September 4, 2026, after extensive deliberations, a jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict, leading Judge William Sullivan to announce the mistrial.

Clancy, 36, admitted to the tragic deaths of her children—Cora, five; Dawson, three; and Callan, eight months—but argued that she should be excused from criminal responsibility due to postpartum psychosis.
