National Geographic Unveils Stunning Wildlife Series 'Africa: Earth’s Wild Home'

National Geographic is set to enthrall audiences with its latest wildlife series, Africa: Earth’s Wild Home, premiering on October 2 at 8 p.m. ET. This groundbreaking series captures extraordinary wildlife footage, including elusive species that have never been filmed for television before.

The seven-part event, narrated by Wunmi Mosaku and produced in collaboration with Rolex, showcases Africa's diverse ecosystems using innovative CGI techniques. Over four years, filmmakers traveled to nearly 30 countries to document the continent's unique wildlife behaviors, including rare footage of black rain frogs, hyenas hunting elephants at night, and chimpanzees employing tools to catch algae.

Each episode of Africa: Earth’s Wild Home will feature an “Explorer Spotlight,” highlighting the dedicated scientists and National Geographic Explorers who contribute to our understanding of Africa's natural heritage. Courteney Monroe, president of National Geographic, emphasized the series' role in revealing the remarkable adaptations of life in Africa while also spotlighting conservation efforts critical to preserving this wildlife.
