Philip Andelman Unveils Unique Travel Pop-up at Merci in Paris

By Editor • September 9, 2026 • 1 min read

Celebrated director and photographer Philip Andelman is taking his travel expertise to new heights with a vibrant pop-up shop at the iconic Paris concept store, Merci. Known for his work with music icons like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, Andelman’s passion for exploration shines through in this eclectic collection that merges practicality with whimsy.

A Curated Collection of Travel Essentials

At the heart of Andelman’s pop-up is a selection of items designed for the modern traveler. From a handy Leatherman multitool for camping to a quirky vintage book on human-dolphin communication, the offerings cater to a range of interests. Notably, Andelman pairs a portable ashtray from Seth Rogen’s lifestyle brand, Houseplant, with a vinyl edition of the Grateful Dead’s classic album “Steal Your Face.”

Handwritten Notes and Personal Touches

The shop features a unique element: handwritten notes on hotel stationery that accompany many items, crafted with Andelman’s trusted Lamy pen, which visitors can also purchase. Among the standout products are T-shirts, socks, and water bottles created in collaboration with Au Vieux Campeur, featuring Andelman’s signature psychedelic mushroom design.

Stories of Adventure and Homemade Granola

Andelman also shares tales from his adventurous past, including his harrowing experience during a trek to K2 Base Camp in 1998 amidst political unrest. As he prepares for his next book about upstate New York, he brings a taste of his family life to the store with his homemade granola, a breakfast staple that he promises is just right.
