Police Release Suspect Images in $1 Million Cold Case Murder Investigation

In a significant development in a 24-year-old double murder investigation, Queensland Police have unveiled forensic artist impressions of two men believed to be connected to the shootings of Iain Stewart Hogg and Frederick Hugh Rosson. The department is offering a generous $1 million reward for information that could lead to the conviction of the suspects involved.

The two men went missing in March 2002, with Hogg, 45, disappearing first on March 12 after failing to show up for work. He was last seen driving his red Toyota Celica and was reported to have had a conversation with his mother shortly before his disappearance. Eyewitnesses later noted distressing activity around his vehicle, including the sound of a gunshot.

Just days later, 67-year-old Rosson, known as "Slim Johnson," was shot in his home in Mount Nathan. Police believe this incident was linked to a firearm he was attempting to sell, and witnesses described seeing two individuals in a red Celica near the scene. As the investigation continues, Detective Sergeant Scott Chapman urges anyone who may recognize the suspects or have any relevant information to come forward, emphasizing that it’s never too late to share what they know.
