Secrecy Lifted on Banker’s Messages to Supreme Court Justice Amid Ongoing Investigation

In a significant move, Brazilian Supreme Court justice André Mendonça has lifted the secrecy surrounding a Federal Police report linked to the Banco Master case. This report, exceeding two hundred pages, includes messages sent by businessman Daniel Vorcaro, the bank's owner currently in pre-trial detention.
The messages were recovered from Vorcaro's phone, although the replies from justice Alexandre de Moraes remain inaccessible. Notably, the banker used a method that ensures messages disappear after being viewed, complicating the investigation.
Among the intercepted texts is a concerning message from November 2025, just days before Vorcaro's arrest, querying whether he should leave the country shortly. The document also details meetings between Vorcaro and de Moraes, including one at the businessman's residence.
Additionally, the report reveals a substantial contract between Banco Master and the law firm owned by de Moraes' wife, raising eyebrows about potential conflicts of interest. Mendonça plans to escalate the issue to the full court despite the ongoing inquiries by the Prosecutor General's Office.
