Daily Maverick and Spotlight are launching a compelling multi-part series focused on cancer, and they invite individuals affected by this disease to share their personal narratives. Whether you are a survivor, currently undergoing treatment, or a caregiver, your story matters.

The series seeks insights into various aspects of the cancer experience. Participants are encouraged to discuss their encounters with medical aid, particularly whether their coverage adequately supported their treatment or if they faced out-of-pocket expenses. Additionally, experiences within public healthcare facilities are of great interest, as well as the challenges related to accessing essential medication.

Beyond personal stories, the initiative also welcomes contributions from cancer experts. Those with knowledge in areas such as treatment science, healthcare navigation, and the economics of drug development are invited to share their perspectives through opinion pieces.
