In a significant boost for its future ambitions, Stoke Space has announced the successful closure of a $1 billion funding round, positioning the company for a major leap ahead of its anticipated launch next year. This latest investment comes as the Washington-based launch firm gears up to expand its operations and capabilities.

Major Funding Round

The Series E funding, co-led by Point72 Ventures and Spark Capital, brings Stoke Space's total capital raised to an impressive $2.3 billion. This remarkable figure highlights the confidence investors have in the company's vision, despite it having yet to conduct an orbital launch.

Future Expansion Plans

With the influx of cash, Stoke Space is set to accelerate the development of its larger 'Block 2' version of the Nova rocket. This upgraded model is designed to transport up to 15 metric tons to low-Earth orbit, boasting a fully reusable configuration. According to Andy Lapsa, co-founder and CEO of Stoke Space, this step is crucial for the company as it prepares for its operational debut.
