Robert Jenrick, treasury spokesman for Reform UK, was quick to criticize Trump’s comments, stating that the former president should have stayed out of British affairs. “If you’re referring to what he said about Ireland he was completely wrong,” Jenrick asserted, emphasizing that his party is committed to supporting the union. He made it clear that Reform UK would always defend the integrity of the United Kingdom, declaring, “Our borders are our borders.”

Angela Rayner, the Housing Secretary, also weighed in on the controversy, downplaying Trump’s remarks while reaffirming the UK's dedication to the Good Friday Agreement.
