Tim Curry's Death Linked to Heart Disease

Tim Curry's passing on August 25 at his home in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, was due to coronary artery disease, according to records from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

The beloved actor, best known for his roles as Frank-N-Furter in the iconic film The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Pennywise in Stephen King's It, was 80 years old at the time of his death. His longtime manager, Marcia Hurwitz, confirmed the news the following day.

Additional health issues, including a history of stroke and kidney cancer, were noted but not deemed the primary cause of death. Curry had suffered a significant stroke in 2012, which he recounted in a 2025 interview, where he described the challenges he faced in regaining his speech and mobility.
