Tragic Bus Accident in Switzerland Claims Five Lives

A devastating bus accident in eastern Switzerland has resulted in the loss of five lives and left 40 others injured. The incident occurred on Thursday, when a tour bus carrying 45 Dutch tourists overturned in a construction area near the small village of Susch.
Emergency responders acted swiftly, deploying seven rescue helicopters and 13 ambulance teams to transport the injured to nearby hospitals. Among the injured, three are reported to be in serious condition, while seven others sustained moderate injuries, and the remaining 30 individuals are experiencing minor injuries, as confirmed by the local police in the canton of Grisons.
Swiss President Guy Parmelin expressed his sorrow on social media, stating he was “deeply shocked and dismayed,” and extended his heartfelt condolences to the victims' families. In a show of solidarity, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands also conveyed their sympathies, expressing their support for those affected by this tragic event.
