Tragic Loss: Camilo Séptimo's Jonathan Meléndez and Family Murdered

In a heartbreaking incident, Jonathan Meléndez, keyboardist for the band Camilo Séptimo, was found murdered alongside his pregnant wife, Ana Paula Meléndez, their 3-year-old daughter, and a nanny at their home near Mexico City. The State of Mexico Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Ana Paula was four months pregnant at the time of the tragedy.

A 6-year-old child was discovered unharmed in the residence located in Atizapán de Zaragoza. Reports indicate that three victims, including Meléndez, suffered gunshot wounds to the head, while another was shot in the back. A family pet was also found tied up at the scene.

Authorities have arrested two suspects, one identified as Diego Sebastián “N,” believed to have exploited his relationship with Meléndez to access the home. Camilo Séptimo, formed in 2013, has left a significant mark on the Mexican music scene.
