Veja Takes a Bold Step with Logo-less Sneaker Collaboration

By Editor • September 2, 2026 • 1 min read

In a groundbreaking move, Veja has announced a collaboration with French brand Arpenteur that will see the release of its first sneaker devoid of the iconic "V" logo. This daring decision is rooted in a decade-long friendship between the two brands.

Marc Asseily, co-founder of Arpenteur, revealed that Veja was initially hesitant about removing the logo, which is integral to its identity. However, after discussions, they embraced the idea to emphasize the shoe's essential qualities. Asseily expressed appreciation for Veja’s confidence in their product, stating, "It requires a lot of confidence in your product to do this project without your logo."

Creative director Caroline Bulliot shared that the request did not take her by surprise, given her familiarity with Arpenteur’s minimalist approach. The sneaker, set to launch on September 3, features an all-black design with visible stitching and contrasting suede accents. It incorporates sustainable materials, including organic leather and bio-based EVA from sugar cane.

While the large "V" is absent from the side, both brands’ logos will appear on the tongue and a leather tag attached to the laces. Bulliot hinted at the possibility of future collaborations, emphasizing the importance of taking their time with new projects.
