Greg Olijnyk just isn’t alien to the probabilities of a single seemingly easy materials. In his continually evolving world of robots, vehicles, bugs and buildings, the cardboard is endlessly versatile. He cuts meticulously, folds and glues tiny items to sow altogether, from rivets and home windows to columns and railings.
The most recent works of the Melbourne artist are performed with surprising juxtapositions, similar to a basic dome of the cathedral based mostly on a rocket, a Gothic tower geared up with jet propulsion and a lighthouse that’s guided by a daunting channel.
