
Samyak Surtok, winner of the 2024 Donald Corridor award for poetry from the Writers’ Affiliation and Writing Applications, would be the spring speaker 2025 for the Arkansas Tech College collection that visits the authors.
Shertok will discuss at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 16, in Ross Pendergrant Library and Expertise Middle Room 300B. He’ll learn from his assortment “With out Rododendron”.
Admission will likely be free and open to the general public. This system is co-stated by the Nebo Literary Journal of the ATU and the World and World Language Division.
Shertok is initially from Nepal. He was the inaugural colleague Hughes in poetry at Southern Methodist College and is a member of the School at Hendrix School, the place he serves as a inventive writing trainer.
Finalist for the Nationwide Poetry Sequence, Agnes Lynch Starrett the Poetry Award and the Jake Adam York Award, Surtok obtained scholarships from Aspen Phrases, Helene Wurlitzer Basis and the Positive Arts Middle in Provincetown.
Surtok received the Robert and Adele Schiff award for poetry, the Gulf Coast prize in poetry and the Auburn Poetry Award.
