Tributes Pour in for Versatile Actor Mukul Dev, Who Has Died at 54

Renowned actor Mukul Dev, celebrated for his diverse roles in Hindi, Punjabi, and South Indian films, has sadly passed away at the age of 54. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.

Fellow actor Vindu Dara Singh shared heartfelt memories on social media, stating, "Rest in peace my brother #MukulDev! The time spent with you will always be cherished." He highlighted that Mukul's last film appearance will be in #SonOfSardaar2, which he believes will bring joy to viewers.

Vindu revealed to India Today that Mukul had become increasingly reclusive after the loss of his parents, spending much time alone. His health had worsened recently, leading to hospitalization. Condolences poured in from the acting community, with Deepshika Nagpal expressing disbelief at his passing and Manoj Bajpayee calling him a "brother in spirit" and an unmatched artist.

Mukul Dev, born on September 17, 1970, in New Delhi, began his career in 1996 with the TV series Mumkin and made his film debut in Dastak alongside Sushmita Sen. His extensive filmography includes notable works such as Yamla Pagla Deewana and Jai Ho. In a 2021 interview, he reflected on his fulfilling 25-year journey in the industry, expressing satisfaction with his career and the unique roles he had embraced.
