As CBS prepares for the return of its iconic news program '60 Minutes,' the series is bolstering its team of journalists with the addition of Ariel Levy, a prominent writer from The New Yorker.
Nick Bilton, the executive producer, announced Levy's appointment in a memo, praising her as a distinctive voice in journalism. He highlighted her extensive experience covering cultural issues such as gender and sexuality, stating, "Ariel is an astonishingly original writer and reporter, fearlessly going to far-flung places and exploring sensitive topics that have driven consequential debates." Levy is also known for her book, 'Female Chauvinist Pigs.'
She joins an impressive lineup of contributors, including New York Times columnist Ross Douthat and author Sebastian Junger, as well as veteran journalists like Gianna Toboni and Norah O'Donnell, who will be featured more prominently in the upcoming season.
