China Postpones Chang’e 7 Moon Mission to 2027

China's ambitious Chang’e 7 lunar exploration mission has been delayed until 2027, according to a brief announcement from the country's Manned Space program. The agency cited a commitment to 'absolute success' as the reason for the postponement, stating that the mission does not meet the necessary conditions for launch during the previously scheduled window.
The mission, which includes a lunar orbiter, lander, rover, and mini-hopper, was set to take off from the Wenchang Space Launch Site on a Long March 5 rocket.
